Hello
Hi, I’m Jonathan—just a fellow pilgrim on the narrow road, trying to walk faithfully with Jesus one step at a time. I’m a husband to Jessica, dad to Ginger Grace, and a lifelong Memphian who still believes the Tigers can make a run and the Grizzlies are due for greatness. I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (Go Blazers!), but my truest identity is found in Christ.
My Story
With a last name like Pilgrim, I’ve always had a curiosity about what it really means to be on a journey of faith. Over time, I’ve come to see that it’s more than just a name—it’s an identity. In Christ, we are all pilgrims: sojourners on a narrow road pressing forward toward a better country—a heavenly one.

By God’s grace, I was born and raised in the church. I come from a line of gospel preachers and was blessed to grow up surrounded by the Word, lived out in both pulpit and home. I was baptized into Christ as a teenager, committing my life to the Lord. But like the prodigal son, I’ve known what it means to wander. I’ve struggled, fallen short, and spent seasons trying to live on my own terms—only to find that true life is found in surrender to Jesus. Now, I’m walking humbly, learning to rely on God’s grace day by day, and striving to become more like Christ in every part of my life. My past reminds me of how much I need Him—and how patient and loving our Father truly is.

Today, I serve as a deacon at the Church of Christ at Woodland Hills in Cordova, Tennessee. Woodland Hills is more than just where I attend—it’s where I belong. It’s the community where my family and I worship, serve, and grow. I help lead in evangelism and seniors’ ministry, aiming to connect hearts across generations and help the church stay outward-facing and rooted in love.

Professionally, I manage finance and operations in the healthcare sector. It’s a role that stretches me and calls for integrity, stewardship, and clear thinking—values that align with my faith and challenge me daily.

Through it all—ministry, marriage, fatherhood, work—I’m learning to live a life anchored in Christ. Fellow Pilgrims is a small offering from that journey: a space to share biblical reflections, ask real questions, and encourage fellow believers to stay the course.
We’re not meant to walk alone. Let’s keep walking—together.
